From Energy to Movement
Philosophy behind how we move
Last weekend I visited the Maritime Museum in Barcelona and this piece captured my attention a lot.
Three words flowing into one another:
Energy → Power → Movement
At that moment, I didn’t see a ship engine. It resonated so much with me, as it was like a clear expression of what I have been trying to build with Elevé.
Energy
First comes energy. The unseen force. It’s the first breath you take before you move, the decision to show up into the practice.
At Elevé, we believe this kind of energy is the most important. It doesn’t come from pressure or urgency. It comes from a desire to connect to your body, your space, yourself in general.
Power
Energy with time becomes power. It is not measured by reps or how much weight you can lift.
Power is choosing to move with presence. It’s when you lift a weight not to prove anything, but to feel strong and aligned with yourself. It’s that strength from knowing yourself.
It’s that stability in a plie, the steady breath in yoga asana.
Our tools are designed to support this kind of power.
Movement
Movement is the final form - what others can see.
It’s energy in motion, shaped by power, expressed through the body. It’s the roll of the shoulder, the lift of the arm or the squat.
Movement is how we connect to ourselves or others. It is not just an exercise. This is the way to remind yourself that you are here and care.
That museum diagram felt like a map for something much more personal to be honest.
At Elevé, we are inspired by these invisible processes: how energy becomes power, and how power becomes movement.
I didn’t want to make just fitness equipment. I try to capture that whole flow from the feeling to the form.
And I am grateful to have you along the way.
